| The 2nd U.S. Sharpshooters are the second regiment of elite riflemen formed by Hiram Berdan. The men were chosen based on their marksmanship abilities - no man became a sharpshooter without being an expert shot - though those standards are only applied to our soldiers in friendly competition, not as a recruiting practice. The sharpshooters practice a wide range of field duties, including scouting, skirmishing, sharpshooting (sniping). The sharpshooters welcome recruits, men and women of any age and ability, though you must be twelve before taking going on the field. | |
