East Wenatchee Classy Chassis Parade, May 4, 2012

Good morning;

We have paid for a spot in the East Wenatchee (appleblossom) Classy Chassis parade.
We will be pulling our John Deere shuttle trailer (same as used for the Plain Campaign).
Our cannon will be mounted high on the trailer to attract attention and we need
    re-enactors in costume to really set the tone.
The intent is to raise awareness about your battles and activities and specifically the
    Sept 29, 30 - 2012 Plain Campaign.
You can either ride in the wagon or walk in front of or behind.
Soldiers and especially Ladies in period costume would really stimulate interest.
We will have a mobile PA sys on the trailer and can play CDs of period music and
    talk about the event.
The parade starts moving at 6:30 PM and is usually over by 7:30 PM.
The parade starts at 3rd & Georgia Streets in East Wenatchee (one block North of
    Grant Road across from Bi-Mart) goes West down Grant Road and then North
    Along Valley Mall Parkway to 9th St (about 16 blocks) They usually block off
    all traffic from the parade route about 5:30PM and it is difficult to arrive after that.
Spectators can set up lawn chairs anywhere along the route.
Details:

    Check in for the parade starts 4PM Friday May 4th;
             we will have our vehicle there by 4:30.
    Muster at 3rd & Georgia St (near Eastmont park) 4:30PM

It is a fun event, very informal and well attended. It should give us great exposure.
It is amazing that I still meet people that "didn't know they did re-enactments out West" !!!!
Please RSVP to me at tomk@beavervalleylodge.com or by phone (509-670-3796).
Practice your "wave" and dust off your costume.
This is a great opportunity to promote the WCWA and generate interest in
    your events. (you also get to see cool cars)
